Flood Relief Donation Drive

Rotaract Club of Heritage Institute of Technology organized a donation drive with the aim of lending a helping hand to the flood victims of Assam and Bihar. A list of required items was circulated, which included clothes, footwear, medicines, dry rations, sanitary pads, toiletries, soap and washing powder, umbrellas and raincoats, and participation was encouraged from everyone.

The Rotaractors set up collection boxes in the college canteen and well-wishers came in to deposit

their donations there. Starting from the maids and college gatekeepers to teachers and students,

everyone came forward to help for the good cause.

By the end of the week, the collection had grown huge, with 20 boxes of clothes, 2 boxes each of food stuffs and shoes, and 1 box each of sanitary

pads, toiletries, ropes and medicines. All of these were packed and delivered to Goonj, an organization for charity, with the hope that this little initiative will help the people out there in their hour of need.
